UPAYA ORANG TUA MEMOTIVASI ANAK DALAM MENGIKUTI IBADAH PAR DI JEMAAT GMIT SONAF NEKMESE TO’I, KLASIS AMANATUN SELATAN

Abstrak
This study aims to describe parents' efforts to motivate their children to participate in Bible study services at the GMIT Sonaf Nekmese To'i Congregation, South Amanatun Classis. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation, with informants consisting of parents of children participating in Bible study, Bible study teachers, and church officials involved in children's ministry. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that some parents have attempted to motivate their children through advice, invitations, role models, and spiritual guidance at home. However, this involvement has not been carried out optimally and consistently. Busy work, limited time, and the influence of social media and gadget use are the main obstacles in building children's motivation. As a result, children tend to be less disciplined and less enthusiastic in participating in Bible study services. This study concludes that children's motivation in participating in Bible study services is strongly influenced by the active involvement of parents. Therefore, ongoing collaboration between parents, the church, and Bible study teachers is needed to improve children's faith development holistically and sustainably.
